The Smart Service Proxy is a modular software that provides semantic descriptions of sensors and measured values via a RESTful API.
Moreover, it provides the possibility of creating Semantic Entities (SEs), that abstract over the individual sensor descriptions and instead describe the observed objects themselves. E.g. "Room123 has temperature 25 degrees" instead of "Sensor1 is located in Room123 and measures 24 degrees temperature".
Semantic Entities can be defined by SPARQL queries that specify how sensors are to be combined into SEs. SEs can then be accessed just like any "real" sensor node and are automatically updated when sensor descriptions change.
